Influence of Chemical Admixtures on Geotechnical Properties of Expansive Soil

The present study is to elucidate and efficacy of Ultra-fine slag Calcium Chloride in improving the Engineering characteristics expansive soil. An experimental program has evaluated effects 3%, 6%, 9% CaCl2 0.25%, 0.5%,  1.0%, Free swell index, swelling potential, pressure, plasticity, compaction, strength, hydraulic conductivity, Cation Exchange Capacity microstructural XRD, SEM tests soil also a statistical tool was used predict values unconfined compressive strength Both admixtures were added independently blended Mixing slag, results have shown that plasticity properties blends decreased dry unit weight increased combination +6% + 1% CaCl2. (UCS) samples again found decrease slightly beyond 6% It optimum quantity material for favorable taken further view its economy due lower content.
